All Aboard - A Thomas Train Party

Happy 3rd Birthday, Ethen! I love that he is old enough now to anticipate his birthday (which he has been for days now). I've been making a lot of party decorations that couldn't be hidden. Like this...

The kids have loved playing with it. I got the boxes from Ikea. They are a great resource for all shapes and sizes.

We celebrated as family this morning and he got a new wiggle waggle, which has replaced his 3-wheeled giraffe (so sad to see that cute thing go). But, he is a growing boy who has to keep up with his sister now.

In the afternoon we had a few kids over for a little train party. I got some great ideas off the internet and had fun making various things.

Again, I got the boxes from Ikea. The carrot/celery car is labeled "Produce Car," the olive car is labeled "Coal Car," and the pretzel car is labeled "Log Car."

I really wanted a beverage dispenser for the drinks, but the ones I found here weren't quite what I was looking for and way too expensive. So I opted for pitchers. The "Diesel Fuel" is apple juice.

Station House Sandwiches

Caboose Cupcakes

I laid a black track around the house made from duct tape. The kids loved this.

A fun day.
