Hong Kong Disneyland Album

So, it's been a year and a half, but finally I've found the inspiration and supplies to complete my Hong Kong Disneyland.

I was totally inspired by Nancy Damiano's album.  The fun colors of the SN@P Life by Simple Stories are so versatile and perfect for colorful disney photos.

I also used American Craft Thickers, LilyBeeDesign abc stickers, Theresa Collins enamel dots, and various Disney stickers.

Here are all the pages of the album in order.  I've loved how SN@P has a fun 6x8 binder that includes tabbed dividers, various sizes of divided page protectors, and lots of fun patterned paper.  It was a SNAP to put together -- truly.  I loved how fast and easy it came together.  Enjoy.

I can almost feel it...

Lately I've been spending time sifting, sorting, organizing, scrapbooking.  The stuff the kids bring home from school turn into mountains so fast.

I've completed probably more than 25 scrapbook pages in their albums.  I've finished old ones that only had a few pages left.  I'm so close to being caught up I can feel it.

Here are a few examples of some pages I've done.  I haven't been digital scrapbooking at all.  I've enjoyed living by Archiver's where I can find the supplies I want.  It's like heaven.  Most aren't this elaborate, just getting artwork in their books and telling small stories.  But it feels good, really good.

New Camera

So my sweet husband bought me a new DSLR camera for Valentine's Day.  Thank you, I love it!

I have been borrowing a camera from a friend and have been taking a Photography Class from Maggie Holmes.  I love what I am learning.  I've been shooting in all manual mode and am slowing getting the knack of it.  Now if only my kids would hold still.

I thought I'd share some of the images I've captured.  Only one more week left of the course.

I'm also going to post these pictures as part of The Simple Things by Rebecca Cooper.  Check out her blog, it's awesome.

Teacher Gifts

I love pinterest.  Love the creativity, love the ease of finding a fun idea.  I've made a couple of things for Maya's teacher -- a crayon wreath for Christmas and a school supply cake for her birthday.

Eye Boogers

So me and this little one have been home together this past week.  He's been sick with a cold and an ear infection.  I have a cold also, and Maya is showing signs as well.  The energy of this one never ceases to amaze.  He is jumping on the couch while I'm choosing to lay on it.

I've been borrowing a friend's camera to take a camera class.  I've been learning to shoot in manual.  I am loving what I'm learning.  So glad I was able to catch those eye boogers.  Priceless memories, ya?

Quote of the Day

Here are a couple of goodies I've recorded:

Ethen: "Hey, Grandpa Braithwaite, what do you want for Christmas?"
Grandpa: "Oh, probably my two front teeth."
Ethen: "Oh. That's cool. [confused pause] That's super duper cool."

Maya: "You never know what craziness is in Mommy."

Ethen: "Hey mom. What's that?"
Me: "Mozzarella balls."
Ethen: "Ewww. My other mom said I'm not supposed to eat that."

Ethen: "Everybody says I'm cute. But I'm not. I'm a big boy."

Ethen spelling his name out loud: "E - H - squiggle - N. That's how you spell Ethen."
