When repatriating, the list of to-dos is mighty long (and expensive).
New cell phone
New car
New house
New 110-volt appliances (from hair dryer to blender to washer)
New schools
New address
It's almost like starting over or at least getting married. I'm pretty sure that changing jobs, moving to a new country, buying a car, and buying a home are among the top ten stresses of life. At least I'm not pregnant. :)
But we are settling in. One by one getting the things we want to make our lives a little easier. I opted for the Chrysler 300.
Dave still hasn't made a decision. (To me choosing between a Dodge Challenger and a Toyota Corolla is a no-brainer.)
But I did make a whirlwind weekend trip to Houston and we bought a home. It is in the Cinco Ranch area of Katy, TX. I am very excited to begin our American lives anew here.
***I'll take better pictures once we make it our own (minus the realtor in the picture).

Very exciting! Cinco Ranch is a nice area. I'm sure you'll love it there.
Thanks for the update. Good luck getting completely settled! A good friend of mine here in Switzerland is just moving to Houston at the end of the week. Thinking of you!
Wow. Add another move to your long list! Hope you get settled quickly. It is definitely a bigger adjustment than we thought it would be. Have a fun summer!!
